PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately detect a step-out state of a stepping motor in accordance with a simplified control method.SOLUTION: A motor control device 10 includes: a CPU 122 applying a pulse voltage of which the pulse width is modulated, to each of coils of a stepping motor 20 including coils of at least two phases in which coil currents of different phases flow, respectively, and a rotor that is rotated by periodically switching the phases of the coil currents to flow to the coils of the phases; an inverse electromotive voltage measuring part 126 which stops applying the pulse voltage when switching a direction of the coil current to flow to the coil of any one phase, and measures an inverse electromotive voltage to be induced by this coil; and a step-out state detection part for detecting a step-out state of the stepping motor 20 in the case where the measured inverse electromotive voltage meets a predetermined step-out state determination criterion. The CPU 122 performs control in such a manner that an ON duty of the pulse voltages applied to all the coils other than the coil subjected to measurement of the inverse electromotive voltage, becomes 100% or 0% during a stop period. |
