PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision energy absorption device of a vehicle which suppresses extension of the whole length of the vehicle and, upon collision with another vehicle, can exhibit energy absorption performance effectively. ! SOLUTION: A collision energy absorption device 10 of a vehicle includes an FUP bar 11, an energy absorption body 12, right and left parallel link mechanisms 13, right and left motors 14, an ECU 17 and the like. The energy absorption body 12 is tiltable between a storage position which is freely rotatably connected with the FUP bar 11 via the parallel link mechanism 13, is mounted on an upper surface 33 of the FUP bar 11 and is not protruded to the front side rather than a front surface 23 and a usage position which is arranged on the front side of the FUP bar 11 and allows a rear surface 24 of the energy absorption body 12 to be brought into contact with the front surface 23 of the FUP bar 11.
