PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resonator which can promote the bite-in of a plurality of protrusions formed at a pressing face into an object to be joined, and can prevent the generation of burrs and the fracture of the object to be joined. ! SOLUTION: A plurality of protrusions 26, which are rhombic in cross sections and formed in conical trapezoidal shapes, are aligned at a position excluding a peripheral edge of a pressing face 24 in a twill line shape while inclining to opposing two sides of the pressing face 24, and each of the protrusions 26 is arranged in a vibration direction (X-direction) of a resonator main body in which opposing two edge lines 26a, 26b out of four edge lines resonate. Accordingly, since the edges which are formed of the opposing two edge lines 26a, 26b and arranged in the vibration direction bite into an object to be joined, the bite-in of a plurality of the protrusions 26 formed at the pressing face 24 into the object to be joined can be promoted.
