SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a torque converter includes: a balance measurement step of measuring each rotational balance of a front cover 3 and a pump impeller 5; a phase setting step of setting an optimal phase in fixing the front cover 3 and the pump impeller 5, on the basis of the measurement of the balance measurement step; and an assembly step of assembling a converter housing C/H by fixing the front cover 3 and the pump impeller 5 at the optimal phase, and adjusting balance by providing a balance weight (an overlapping part Q of a welding bead W) in the converter housing C/H. !
