PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper which can obtain a proper attenuation characteristic irrespective of a degree of a load. ! SOLUTION: A damper comprises: a bottomed cylinder 10 having an open end 11 which is opened at one end, and a closed end 12 which is closed at the other end; a piston 20 which partitions the inside of the cylinder 10 into a first chamber A at the open end 11 side and a second chamber at the closed end 12 side, and reciprocates; a piston rod 30 which is connected to the piston 20 at a tip 31, and protrudes to the outside from the open end 11 at a rear end 33 side; a rod guide 40 which is fixed to the open end 11 while being adjusted in an insertion amount, and has a penetration hole 44 which allows the piston rod 30 to slidably penetrates; and a spring member such as a compression coil spring 50 which is accommodated in the second chamber B, and whose spring constants differ in series at multiple stages. !
