PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost by eliminating the need of an interconnection for a sensor per se for magnetic pole position detection, a power source thereof, output or the like.SOLUTION: A brushless DC motor includes: a stator around which an exciting coil is wound; a rotor which is accommodated in the stator and rotatable in a predetermined direction; and a plurality of pairs of magnets which are fixed on an inner face of the stator at predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction in such a manner that different poles oppose each other around a rotary shaft of the rotor. By alternately applying a bidirectional voltage to the coil, the rotor is rotated and in accordance with a current value after the lapse of a predetermined time after switching a direction of applying the voltage, a deviation amount for a rotating angle of the rotor from a desired rotating angle is detected. In accordance with the calculated deviation amount, timing of the next voltage application is adjusted or in accordance with the calculated deviation amount, a next application voltage value is corrected. |
