PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively recover a scandium concentrate from an Al-Sc alloy.SOLUTION: The method for producing a scandium concentrate according to the present invention comprises: a molten mixture formation step S1 where chlorine is contacted with an alloy containing aluminum and scandium, and the alloy is melted to form a molten mixture of aluminum chloride and scandium chloride; a first electrolysis step S2 where the molten mixture is subjected to first electrolysis at electrical potential between metalation potential of aluminum and metalation potential of scandium by using a first cathode to form aluminum around the first cathode; and, after a molten aluminum formation step, a second electrolysis step S3 where the molten mixture is subjected to second electrolysis at potential which enables recovery of scandium by using a second electrode to form a scandium concentrate around a second cathode. |
