PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base having high air-tightness reliability by suppressing external exhaust and internal invasion of metal wastes generated at a time of press fitting and to provide a piezoelectric transducer. ! SOLUTION: In a crystal oscillator, a groove 5 is formed at a position on a lower end side of an outer peripheral part (outer side face 200) of a base 2 where the groove is covered by a cap 4 in a state after press-fitting the cap 4 into the base 2. The groove 5 has an inclined surface 5a on an upper end side of the base 2. An angle α formed by the outer peripheral part (outer side face 200) of the base 2 continued to the inclined surface 5a and the inclined surface 5a is an obtuse angle. !
