PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a farm field observation system with a high power saving performance. ! SOLUTION: A farm field observation apparatus 100 includes: a sensing section 10 provided with plural sensors for measuring temperature etc.; a storage 30; a control section 20 that controls to store sensing data in the storage 30; and a communication section 40 that transmits the sensing data stored in the storage 30 to a master unit 200. The communication section 40 provides an ordinary mode in which transmission is made responding to a transmission request from the master unit 200 and a power-saving mode in which a power smaller than that in the ordinary mode is consumed.
