PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet nonwoven fabric and a filter medium for an air filter, capable of achieving a filter medium for the air filter having low pressure loss and high collection performances excellent in a pleat property and wind deformation resistance. ! SOLUTION: The filter medium for the air filter is produced by using the wet nonwoven fabric, characterized by: including a nanofiber fiber A having a fiber diameter of 200-800nm, and fiber length of 0.4-1.5 mm, a fiber B thicker than the nanofiber fiber A and a binder fiber C having thermal bond property; and satisfying that a weight ratio of A+B: C is 50: 50-70: 30 and a void ratio is 90% or more. !
