PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure wear resistance and fuel economy performance of a lubricating oil composition having decreased viscosity for an internal combustion engine and furthermore to improve high temperature oxidation stability and cleanliness of the lubricating oil composition.SOLUTION: The lubricating oil composition for an internal combustion engine contains: a lubricating oil base oil; (A1) basic calcium salicylate having a TBN of 200 mgKOH/g or more; (A2) basic sodium sulfonate having a TBN of 200 mgKOH/g or more and/or basic calcium sulfonate having a TBN of 50 mgKOH/g or less; (B) a binuclear organomolybdenum compound and/or trinuclear organomolybdenum compound; and (C) polyalkyl (meth)acrylate having an SSI (Shear Stability Index) of 30 or more. The lubricating oil composition has the total content of molybdenum derived from binuclear and trinuclear organomolybdenum compound of 0.025 mass% or more based on the total amount of the composition, and high temperature high shear viscosity and NOACK evaporation amount (250°C, 1 hour) of predetermined values. |
