<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device having a structure enabling telescopic adjustment, which can suppress variation in holding force due to a telescopic adjustment position by a simple structure.SOLUTION: A steering device 1 includes: an inner tube 16; an outer tube 15 having a slit 18 formed therein; a pair of long-hole forming portions 19 that have long holes 31 formed therein and are provided to sandwich the slit 18; and a sleeve 20 that is interposed between the inner tube 16 and the outer tube 15 at a position opposite to the slit 18. The sleeve 20 is provided across forming ranges for the long holes 31 in a shaft direction X, whose width in a circumference direction C is widened from both end portions 21 toward a center portion 22 in the shaft direction X. The pair of long hole forming portions 19 are held by a contacting/separating mechanism 32 to approach each other. This causes the outer tube 15 to be reduced in diameter so as to sandwich the slit 18 and then positioned the inner tube 16.</p> |
