<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core drive unit capable of driving a core for compression from the central part of a mold in a well-balanced way.SOLUTION: A movable platen (2) includes a core drive unit (1) to which a movable-side mold (47) is fixed. The core drive unit (1) includes an electrically-driven motor (7) disposed on the side of the unit, a rotary shaft (44) disposed in parallel with a mold fitting surface (14), a pair of bevel gears (26 and 45) which changes the axis of rotation to a perpendicular direction, and a rotor (16) which is thereby rotated. The rotor (16) is housed in an opening at the central part of the mold fitting surface (14) of the core drive unit (1) and rotates a prescribed rotary member (56) adjacent to the movable-side mold (47). A ball screw mechanism inside the movable-side mold (47) converts the rotation into linear movement to drive a compression core (52) for compression molding.</p> |
