<p>A hood latch for a vehicle is disclosed. The hood latch for a vehicle of the present invention comprises: a base which has a moving groove portion for guiding a striker and is fixated to a vehicle body; a latch gear which restricts the striker introduced through the moving groove portion by being rotationally installed on the base and has a plurality of hook portions; a pawl which is rotationally installed on the base and restricts a rotation of the latch gear with a motion being engaged with the latch gear; a release unit which is installed to be spaced apart from the pawl and is rotated in connection with an actuating cable; a protruding unit which includes a plurality of protrusions protruding from the front side of the pawl from a side of the pawl; a rotary hook unit which is rotationally installed on the release unit and rotates the pawl by being interlocked with a rotation of the release unit and hung on the protruding unit; and a rotation control unit which controls a rotation of the protruding unit such that the rotary hook unit can be hung on the protruding unit.</p> |
