PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a blur correction through sharing by both of a lens unit and camera body when both of the lens unit and camera body include a blur correction function, and to thereby achieve correction performance exceeding a correction performance achieved when only one of the lens unit and camera body executes the blur correction.SOLUTION: A camera system includes a lens unit and camera body, and the camera body comprises: a blur detection unit that detects a blur in a plurality of directions; a blur correction unit that executes a blur correction in the plurality of directions; a determination unit that determines whether a mounted lens unit is a lens unit capable of executing the blur correction; and a blur correction control unit that controls the blur correction unit so as to execute the blur correction only in a specific direction out of the plurality of directions when it is determined by the determination unit that the mounted lens unit is the lens unit capable of the blur correction, and controls the blur correction unit so as to execute the blur correction in the plurality of directions when it is determined by the determination unit that the mounted lens unit is not the lens unit capable of the blur correction. |
