<p>A method for manufacturing a coffee extract, the method comprising the steps of placing coffee granules M in a granule container part 2 wherein the coffee granules M are substantially sealed within the granule container part 2, introducing an extraction solvent 5 from a first direction into the granule container part 2 wherein the extraction solvent is brought in contact with the coffee granules M, allowing extraction to occur, and retrieving, from the first direction, the coffee extract from the granule container part wherein the coffee granules are substantially sealed in a second direction, which is opposite of the first direction, by a restraining member 11 placed in abutting contact with or in close proximity to a surface of deposited layers of the coffee granules M. The coffee extract is retrieved by introducing water from the second direction into the granule container part.</p> |
