<p>The mechanism (2) has a frame (20), and a driving unit i.e. gear motor (21), that is arranged on the frame. A movement transmission unit (22) is coupled to a rotary output shaft (210) of the driving unit, and is adapted to transmit a movement and torque to a driving shaft (12) utilized for driving a door leaf. A belt (222) cooperates with a tensioning unit in an engaged state, where the belt is stretched and torque is transmitted from a drive pulley (221) to another drive pulley (220), and a disengaged state in which the belt is relaxed and no torque is transmitted to the latter pulley.
