The method includes forwarding a received data packet aiming at an address of a virtual service on a virtual server according to a one-way forwarding mode; judging whether the address of the virtual service is under a synchronous flood attack or not; if yes, executing an defensive operation used for defending the synchronous flood attack on the virtual server, and forwarding the received data packet aiming at the address of the virtual server according to a two-way forwarding mode; judging whether the synchronous flood attack stops or not; if yes, stopping executing the defensive operation on the virtual server, and restoring to forward the received data packet aiming at the address of the virtual server according to the one-way forwarding mode. By the method and the equipment, resources of the virtual server can be utilized furthest under the premise that intelligent monitoring and defensing of the synchronous floor attack are realized.
