The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for calculating a residual quantity of an infusion solution, wherein the method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: measuring an administration speed per drop of an infusion solution; obtaining a compensated value of the infusion solution quantity according to the measured administration speed per drop of the infusion solution to calculate information on an infusion solution quantity per drop by using the compensated value of the infusion solution; and calculating a residual quantity of the infusion solution by using information on the infusion solution quantity per drop. According to the present invention, the residual quantity of an infusion solution can be more precisely calculated by using information on an infusion solution quantity per drop, which varies according to an administration speed of an infusion solution.
