POWER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM INCLUDING STATIC PROTECTING CIRCUIT AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

Disclosed is a power management system including a static protection circuit. The power management system may include at least one power converter and a main control circuit. Each power converter includes a power stage, generating a protection signal by sensing a static abnormal state of the power stage, and generating a direct output voltage by stabilizing a direct power supply voltage (VSUP) in response to each enable signal. The main control circuit generates the enable signal to the power converter on the basis of each protection signal received from the power converters. Therefore, the power management system can prevent a power transistor from being damaged, and has low power consumption and high reliability.
