PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor which can provide a light-emitting device which is easy to produce and has a high color rendering property.SOLUTION: A phosphor comprises a compound represented by a general formula (I): MPOas a matrix and Eu as a light-emitting center ion in the matrix (where, in the formula (I), M is a divalent metal element including at least Ba; and a, b, and c are numbers in ranges of 1.8 to 2.2, 1.8 to 2.2, and 6.8 to 7.2, respectively). Preferably, in the matrix is further added Mg. The phosphor is preferably represented by, as a composition at a time of charging, (BaEuMg)PO(where, 0≤x≤0.35, and 0.01≤y≤0.05), more preferably, y=0.03 and its luminescent color is green or yellow. Even more preferably, x=0.15 to 0.35. |
