A centrifugal fan has a main plate (2), a shroud (3) which has a fan suction opening (3a), and blades (4) which are provided between the main plate (2) and the shroud (3). The shroud has a shroud body (11) and an extended section (9). The extended section is a portion extending upstream from the shroud outer peripheral end (8) of the shroud body when viewed in the direction parallel to a rotation axis (5). The radial outer surface of the shroud body and the radial inner surface of the extended section constitute a recessed rounded surface (30), and the recessed rounded surface is recessed facing upstream when viewed in the direction parallel to the rotation axis (5). |
