PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently suppress buckling of a compression coil spring in a spring assembly.SOLUTION: A spring assembly 20 includes a first retainer member 21 and a second retainer member 22 connected coaxially, and a cylindrical compression coil spring 23 coaxially mounted on the periphery of the first retainer member and the second retainer member. The spring assembly 20 is installed in a cylinder inner hole 11a provided to a cylinder body 11 of a master cylinder MC together with a piston 12. An inward engagement part 21a1 of the first retainer member 21 is set so as to slidingly contact a small-diameter part outer peripheral surface S2 of the second retainer member 22. An outward engagement part 22a1 of the second retainer member 22 is set so as to slidingly contact a cylindrical inner peripheral surface S1 of the first retainer member 21. |
