PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery superior in cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a positive electrode; and a negative electrode. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode current collector, a first layer provided on the negative electrode current collector and including a graphite-based negative electrode active material, and a second layer provided on the first layer and including a graphite-based negative electrode active material. When the ratio I/Iof a peak intensity Iof graphite crystal coming from (110)plane to a peak intensity Icoming from (002)plane according to powder X-ray diffraction measurement on a percentage basis is defined as an orientation degree, the orientation degree of the second layer is 0.01-0.4%, and the orientation degree of the first layer is 0.5% or less. |
