<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide weft insertion control capable of achieving proper control of a weft insertion control member.SOLUTION: A weft insertion control method is used for a water jet loom including: a weft yarn storage device in which a weft yarn is stored by using an engagement pin, and the engagement pin releases the engagement of the weft yarn according to a set value of engagement release timing; an unwinding sensor 5 which detects the weft yarn unwound from a storage drum; and a clamper which is provided between a weft insertion nozzle and the weft yarn storage device to hold the weft yarn and release the holding of the weft yarn according to a set value of release timing. A detection value of unwinding timing detected on the basis of a signal from the unwinding sensor is compared with a preset reference value related to the unwinding timing, and a deviation is thereby obtained. In addition, according to a preset correction pattern for each weaving cycle, the engagement release timing and the holding release timing are alternately corrected by using the amount of correction obtained on the basis of the deviation.</p> |
