A lithium ion battery system which is provided with: a lithium ion battery which is provided with a positive electrode that contains a lithium-manganese-nickel composite oxide as a positive electrode active material and a negative electrode that contains a lithium-titanium composite oxide as a negative electrode active material; and a charge control means which controls the end-of-charge voltage (Vf) to a value within the range of 3.6 V ≤ Vf ≤ 4.0 V.
