A retention tie system for post-construction installation to stabilize masonry or composite walls (10). The system comprises a tie member (15) anchored in an anchor hole (14) bored into the existing foundation (5) and a tensioned against a base plate (30) and a cover plate (31) seated along the top of the wall (10). A bracing bracket (40) is used to provide lateral stability to the respective plate members (30, 31). A tension washer (50) is used to ensure that the tie members (15) are tensioned to the appropriate load. |
