Abstract A computer-implemented method is provided for providing a quantitative assessment of the benefits of using a proposed fuel card. The method involves receiving from a user, fleet details including a number of vehicles in the fleet and an average number of kilometres travelled per year by each vehicle in the fleet; further receiving from a user, fuel card details relating to a current fuel card to be compared to the proposed fuel card, the fuel card details including a vendor affiliated with the current fuel card; and calculating a cost differential between use of the current fuel card and the proposed fuel card, the cost differential including a fuel cost component and a time saving component, wherein the time saving component is attributable to negating driver diversion to a fuel outlet associated with the vendor affiliated with the current fuel card. Receiving from a user, fleet details including a 110 number of vehicles in the fleet and an average number of kilometres travelled per year by each vehicle in the fleet Receiving from a user, fuel card details 120 relating to a Current fuel card to be compared to the proposed fuel card, the fuel card details including a vendor affiliated with the current fuel card Calculating a cost differential between use of the current fuel card and the proposed fuel card, the cost differential including a fuel cost 130 component and a time saving component, wherein the time saving component is attributable to avoidance of driver diversion to a Fuel outlet associated with the vendor affiliated with the current fuel card
|
