<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent strand slapping accompanying the sudden stop of the rotation of a take-up bobbin when a low strength part of an optical fiber is broken and, at the same time, preventing positional misalignment of wound layers by the take-up bobbin by inertia, preventing occurrence of strand detachment right in rear of a tension application unit, and preventing occurrence of transmission loss of wound lower layers due to excessive winding tension.SOLUTION: Provided is a screening test apparatus unwinding an optical fiber from a delivery bobbin, traveling the optical fiber in a tension application section, and winding the optical fiber around a take-up bobbin, configured so that an incoming-side take-up machine, an outgoing-side take-up machine, and a final take-up machine are disposed in a travel route from the delivery bobbin to the take-up bobbin in order, an interval between the incoming-side take-up machine and the outgoing-side take-up machine serves as the tension application section, an interval between the outgoing-side take-up machine and the final take-up machine serves as a strand storage section, each take-up machine receives drive torque to apply tension to the optical fiber, and the strand storage section is constituted by a plurality of freely rotatable pulleys.</p> |
