<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the design surface of a wheel and the bead of a tire from being damaged when attaching a tire to a wheel for a vehicle.SOLUTION: A method for attaching a tire includes the steps of: setting a cover 30 on a wheel, and in this state, covering the whole circumference of a design surface of a flange part 21 of a rim 20 of the wheel with an annular coating part 31a of the cover 30; making the external surface of the coating part 31a smooth and flush in the whole circumference; inserting a positioning shaft 53 into a hub hole 11a of the wheel so as to perform positioning of the wheel; making expansion members 54 to 56 approach the external surface of the coating part 31a of the cover 30 followed by moving in the circumferential direction along the coating part 31a so as to expand bead parts 41 and 42 of the tire; and pushing a sidewall part of the tire with a pressing member so as to attach the bead parts 41 and 42 of the tire to an outer periphery of the rim 20 of the wheel.</p> |
