PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel ester compound capable of being used as a cosmetic component.SOLUTION: There is provided an ester compound of tricyclo[5.2.1.0]decane represented by the formula (I), where Ato Aare each independently H or R-X-Y-, R is a C3-22 straight or branched alkyl group, X is -CO-O- or -O-CO-, Y is a single bond or -CH-, at least one of Ato Ais R-X-Y- and each of R, X and Y is selected independently when there are a plurality of R-X-Y-.
