The base station comprises: a reception unit, used for receiving temporary mobile group identity (TMGI) information that is sent by a target base station and is corresponding to a current multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) of the target base station, and receiving an MBMS interest indication sent by a user equipment, the target base station being located in a target MBMS single-frequency network region, and the MBMS interest indication comprising TMGI information corresponding to the MBMS that the user equipment is interested in; and a processing unit, used for selecting, according to the MBMS interest indication and the TMGI information corresponding to the current MBMS of the target base station, the target base station capable of providing the MBMS that the user equipment is interested in when the user equipment cannot receive the current MBMS of the base station, so as to perform switching. Correspondingly, also provided are a trunking communication method, a user equipment, and a system. By using the present invention, the continuity of the MBMS is ensured when a service scenario is changed, thereby meeting requirements of service continuity.
