PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle control device suppressing excessive torque from being applied to an engagement mechanism for inhibiting a normal rotation of an engine and a rotary member connected therewith, or a member whose rotation is stopped with the mechanism.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle control device is such that: an engine and a first motor are connected through a differential mechanism; a second motor giving and receiving electric power with the first motor, and adding torque to torque output from the differential mechanism is provided; and an engagement mechanism for stopping the rotation of an output shaft of the engine or a prescribed rotation member connected to the output shaft is included. In the case of backward-moving by the driving force of the second motor, the engagement mechanism is engaged (step S3), and in the case of forward-moving by the driving force of at least the second motor in the first motor and the second motor, the engagement mechanism is released (step S5). |
