PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a driver to recognise objects around a vehicle as obstacles and efficiently transmit electric power.SOLUTION: In an obstacle detection system 1, a vehicle system 3 scans a prescribed range of vehicle surroundings. When detecting the position of an object 4 with a radar 7, the vehicle system 3 starts transmission of electric power while controlling a transmission direction of power from a power transmission section 14 to be oriented to a direction of the object 4. When transmitting electric power to a light-emitting device 5 attached to the object 4, the vehicle system 3 starts transmission of electric power while controlling the transmission direction of the electric power to be oriented to the object 4. Light emission of the light-emitting device 5 causes a driver to recognise the object 4 as an obstacle, and limitation of a power transmission range of the electric power to the surroundings of the object 4 allows for efficient transmission of the electric power from a vehicle 2 side to an object 4 side. |
