1. An electronic control for a vehicle transmission, embodied in a computer-accessible storage medium, for managing fluid pressure provided to a torque transmitting mechanism, comprising:
a shift scheduler configured to initiate a shift of a vehicle transmission from a first operational mode to a second operational mode, a torque transmitting mechanism control configured to receive a shift command from the shift scheduler and issue a first pressure command to control application or release of at least one torque transmitting mechanism of the transmission, and a pressure command modifier configured to detect a trim phase of the at least one torque transmitting mechanism and provide alternating second and third pressure commands during the trim phase. |
