Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and device for channel competition. The device for channel competition of the present invention belongs to a basic service set (BSS), and the BSS comprises an access point (AP) and at least one first stations (STA). The AP and the at least one first STAs both participate in channel competition. The device is the AP or any one of the first STAs, and the device comprises: an interception module for intercepting the channel; a competition module for channel competition. All of the at least one network devices in the BSS can use the channel for transmitting data through concentrated control scheduling performed by the AP. The invention solves the problem of low success ratio of BSS channel competition in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system.
