PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polymer fuel cell power generation system which can stably perform a power generating operation without causing the reduction in cell voltage.SOLUTION: A solid polymer fuel cell power generation system 100 comprises: sub-stacks 111 and 112, each arranged by stacking cells 10 and separators 20, and connected to form a fuel gas circulation path like a serial loop; a hydrogen gas cylinder 130 connected to each of fuel gas inlets of the sub-stacks 111 and 112, valves 101 and 102 provided between the hydrogen gas cylinder 130 and fuel gas inlets of the sub-stacks 111 and 112; and valves 103 and 104 provided in the fuel gas circulation path between the sub-stacks 111 and 112. With a gas diffusion layer 12b of a fuel electrode 12 of each cell 10, the ratio L of a pressure loss to a transmission amount in a circulating direction when water is caused to pass therethrough is 20 kPa min/cmor less, and the rate W of water occupying gaps with water included is 50% or less. |
