<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having a capacitance type proximity sensor capable of obtaining favorable sensing sensitivity circumferentially.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal display panel 1; a transparent member 2 that covers a display surface of the liquid crystal display panel 1; a backlight 4 that is installed on a counter display surface side of the liquid crystal display panel 1; a frame 3 that has an opening portion 3a for fitting with the liquid crystal display panel 1; and a protection member 5 that is installed on a principal plane side of the backlight 4 on the opposite side to the liquid crystal display panel 1. In the backlight 4, a ground conductor plate 9 is provided on the display surface and the principal surface on the opposite side, and a capacitance type proximity sensor 6 is provided in loop shape apart from the ground conductor plate 9 on the outside thereof in planar view.</p> |
