1. A method for screening the resistance of CD4+ cells to viral infection, the method comprising
a) labeling isolated CD4+ cells with carboxyfluorescein diacetate, succinimidyl ester (CFSE), b) contacting the labeled CD4+ cells with at least one composition to stimulate the CD4+ cells, c) contacting the stimulated, labeled CD4+ cells with a subject virus, and d) determining the infectivity of the subject virus in the stimulated, labeled CD4+ cells, wherein a lower viral infectivity in the stimulated, labeled CD4+ cells compared to control cells indicates that the stimulated, labeled CD4+ cells are more resistant to infection of the virus than control cells. |
