[Problem] To provide a means which is capable of further improving cycle durability in an electrical device such as a lithium ion secondary battery having a positive electrode that uses a solid solution positive electrode active material. [Solution] An electrical device having a power generating element which comprises: a positive electrode that is obtained by forming a positive electrode active material layer containing a positive electrode active material on the surface of a positive electrode collector; a negative electrode that is obtained by forming a negative electrode active material layer containing a negative electrode active material on the surface of a negative electrode collector; and a separator that is impregnated with an electrolyte solution. The negative electrode active material layer contains a negative electrode active material represented by formula (1); and the positive electrode active material layer contains a positive electrode active material (a solid solution positive electrode active material) represented by formula (2). In this connection, a material that has, as the basic structure, a composition represented by formula (3) is used as the solid solution positive electrode active material contained in the positive electrode active material layer. In addition, a predetermined additive is contained in the electrolyte solution. |
