PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a high pressure fuel pump.SOLUTION: In a high pressure fuel pump 1 including a plunger 31 vertically slidably disposed in a cylinder 11 of a housing 10, a tappet body 32 slidable integrally with the plunger 31, and a roller 33 held by the tappet body and rotated therewith by rotation of a cam shaft 20, the roller 33 and a cam body 21 are disposed so that a contact point P1 as a contact part of the roller 33 and the cam body 21 observed from an axial direction of the cam shaft, is positioned at a reverse rotating direction side of the cam body 21 with respect to an intersection point P2 of an axis L1 in the sliding direction of the plunger 31 and a tangential line L2 of the contact point P1. |
