<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet manufacturing apparatus capable of reducing an error in a transportation amount of a material for a sheet.SOLUTION: A sheet manufacturing apparatus comprises: a transportation path causing at least a part of a material for a sheet to flow in air; and a formation section forming the sheet by using the material. The transportation path is provided with an optical detector having a transmission section transmitted with light, a light-emission section emitting the light to the transmission section and a light reception section receiving the light having passed through the transmission section. The transportation path has a control section determining that the material does not flow when the light received by the light reception section has a value greater than a preset threshold value. The longer accumulated usage time of the sheet manufacturing apparatus is, the smaller the threshold value is.</p> |
