Provided is a motorcycle tire in which a reinforcing cord that constitutes a belt layer (24) is configured from a cord that has a low modulus of elasticity (a tensile strength of 15 N or less when elongation is 1%), thereby reducing the circumferential shear force of a tread (26). As a result, the value of abrasion energy is reduced and the abrasion resistance of the tread (26) (a center section (27)) is improved. In addition, the tanδ of a shoulder section (28) is configured to be larger than the tanδ of the center section (27) so that the grip limit of the shoulder section (28) that is in contact with the ground during rotation is increased, thereby improving turning performance. |
