Disclosed are an automated targeting device and method. The automated targeting device, that automatically selects targets to whom content on products to be marketed will be transmitted in order to advertise and expedite sales, comprises: a target customer setting unit for setting target customers; a by-stage target selecting unit for selecting by-stage target customers, from among the set target customers, to whom the content will be transmitted at each stage; and a customer response receiving unit checking customer responses to the content transmitted to the by-stage targets, wherein the by-stage target selecting unit may be characterized by selecting a target range for the subsequent stage by estimating the response probability of candidate target customers according to the results of an analysis on the characteristics of the customers who responded.
