<p>A method for controlling a positive displacement hydraulic machine with two or more working chambers (4), each in fluid contact with a valve arrangement (1) comprising a controllable high pressure valve (20h) and a controllable low pressure valve (20l), the method comprising the following steps: determine an instant contribution value for each of the working chambers, evaluate possible combinations of contribution values, choose a combination of contribution values based on a selection criteria, and activate or de-activate each working chamber based on the chosen combination of contribution values, by sending control signals from a control system to the controllable high pressure valves and the controllable low pressure valves.</p> |
