Provided is a password input apparatus. The password input apparatus comprises at least two touch display screens (1), a controller, and a processor. The touch display screens (1) are separated from each other. The controller is used for controlling the touch display screens (1) to randomly display a character. The processor is used for determining the character displayed currently on the corresponding touched and operated touch display screen (1) after a touch operation is detected, determining a character string input by a user according to a touch operation sequence, and using the character string as a password input by the user. The password input apparatus can enable the integral arrangement mode of the characters as a password to be flexible and changeable, thereby improving the security of password input. Also provided is a password input method.
