A cooking apparatus includes a body having a base wall, side walls, a rear wall, a top wall and a shelf. The shelf, top panel, and sections of the side walls and rear wall therebetween define a cooking space having an open front. The cooking apparatus includes a heater which extends along an internal surface of the rear wall facing the cooking space. The heater includes gas ceramic burners for directing and distributing heat towards the cooking space in a substantially uniform manner. A moisture infusion assembly is arranged above the shelf and thus at a lower portion of the cooking space. |
