PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a solar cell sealing material which enables the molding of a solar cell sealing material having good transparency, suppressing the worsening in the adhesion with a surface protection glass even in long-term use, and having good PID resistance.SOLUTION: A light-receiving surface solar cell sealing material 12A and a backside solar cell sealing material 12B each comprise: a scavenger of ethylene copolymer and inorganic ions. The inorganic ion scavenger includes at least one selected from a group consisting of a pentavalent metal oxide, a hexavalent metal oxide, a heptavalent metal oxide, and a metal phosphate.
