PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can prevent the occurrence of damage such as wrinkles on sheets due to skew of long-size paper when the long-size paper passes through a fixing nip.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a sheet conveyance unit that can convey long-size paper; an image forming unit that transfers a toner image onto the long-size paper fed through a transfer nip; a fixing unit that is configured swingably in a sheet width direction within a predetermined swing allowable range with a home position as a reference, and fixes the toner image onto the long-size paper fed through the fixing nip; an inclination detection unit that detects the inclination of a sheet between the transfer nip and fixing nip; and a control unit that causes the fixing unit to swing on the basis of a result of the detection by the inclination detection unit. |
