PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of stopping and resuming power generation at an arbitrary moment in time during power generation, and capable of continuous operation without exchanging an electrolyte over a long time, by separating magnesium hydroxide dissolved into the electrolyte, while simultaneously cooling so that the temperature of the electrolyte does not rise excessively, thereby preventing liquid junction due to the electrolyte, when connecting a plurality of power generation cells in series, in a magnesium power generation cell system.SOLUTION: A magnesium power generation cell system includes a mechanism for preventing liquid junction by including an electrolyte storage tank, allowing arbitrary stopping of power generation operation by transferring the electrolyte between a battery cell and the electrolyte storage tank, and time sharing a product separation mechanism and an electrolyte cooling mechanism among a plurality of battery cells. |
